Ekko did our Kitchen reno. Really happy with the product, nice people and good service, and really helpful with selections and keeping it in budget. Would recommend.
We spent so much time shopping around and comparing cabinet companies. Don't bother....just go to Ekko! We went into Ekko with a vague idea of what we wanted for our completely new kitchen. Rema worked with us...and worked with us...and worked with us. We just can't say enough good things about her level of patience, expertise and creativity. Andy installed with precision. Rob checked at end of job. Love our new kitchen!!
We began our kitchen cabinet installation with Ekko, using their Norcraft line of cabinets. 6 months, and many re-orders later, we had to call a halt to it, and finish the job ourselves.
There are 3 deficiencies with this company: sub-standard product from their supplier, with many cabinet pieces requiring multiple re-orders due to defects. Ekko continually re-ordered pieces instead of taking a stand on our behalf and demanding a quality product from Norcraft. Secondly, there was damage during delivery. And the installation had numerous cheats and sloppy workmanship, which impacted on countertop installation and touch-ups/revisions later on.
We have asked Ekko to cover the additional costs we incurred as a result of all that (the cabinet companies expect 90% before installation), as well as reimbursing us one months' interest costs to help offset the repeated delays. Each time pieces had to be reordered, there was a 6 week delay. Funny, when they first said the damaged/poorly fabricated pieces would be re-ordered, we thought it was great customer service, but after the 5th and 6th time, we realized Ekko wasn't willing to go to bat for us with the manufacturer, and probably hoped we'd just give up and go away at some point!)
Ekko is refusing to cover these costs unless we remove any online postings. And they've switched from Norcraft as a supplier, which just further insults us. We're left with a very poorly made product and install, while they step sideways and carry on with business as usual. This is not the kind of responsibility we were expecting, considering what they espouse on their website.
