Sewing World Janome Sewing Machines & Sergers

I stopped in yesterday for some machine oil. Such a nice store, organized with the best selection of notions and supplies. Won’t be going to the box store again any time soon.

I bought my Janome6600 from this store in 2006 and take it here for maintenance without a problem. I was trying to finish a quilt but couldn't stop getting eye-lashes on the back of the quilt when I was doing free motion quilting. I tried everything that quilting and sewing sites said to do to get rid of this problem and nothing worked. I was ready to give up and called Cheryl. She gave me advice I didn't find anywhere and it worked immediately! She really knows her stuff. I love this store.

Great selection of machines to suits everyones budget. Service centre is fabulous, though they are busy and can take a few weeks to service your machine. Staff are very knowledegable and helpful, and not pushy on the "sale". They offer classes here too, though I have not done any yet.

Unreliable and irresponsible. Employees would place the blame on my side for their mistakes, even goin so far as the "manager" saying he would "fire me" for being rude to his employees when the most I did was inquire when my machine would be ready. (I was originally told it would take 2-3 weeks to be done, but after 2 weeks the mechanic hadn't even looked at it. I ended up waiting for 5 weeks to get my machine fixed.) I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone, ever!!!
