What an incredible resource firefly is to our community. Karin has built an amazing team of skilled professionals who have helped so many over the years. My husband and I have worked with Karen to strengthen our relationship and work through some of the speed bumps that so many couples commonly face. I have been seeing my psychologist Karin Lord for 7 years. She is the owner of Firefly counselling & Consulting. I would not be alive today without Karin. Together we have overcome many of my hurdles with severe depression, social anxiety and PTSD from childhood trauma. I do not trust humans easily. Karin worked very hard to create a safe space for me over the years, she slowly gained my trust. This has allowed me to begin to discover who I truly am. I will forever be grateful for Karin Lord.

Therapy helped our son

Our 10 year old son's teacher had a lot of concerns about his behavior and moods last school year and he was in trouble with his hockey coach for a bad attitude. We decided to get him some therapy over the summer so that his next school year and hockey season would go better. Stephanie started working with him at the end of May and we have really been seeing changes. He loves going to see her. I don't really understand how the play and arts therapy works, but his attitude is much better!

I went to Firefly Counselling to help me deal with a traumatic experience. The staff were great, and they have a neat online booking system which is so convenient. Karin took time to hear my story, developed a treatment plan with me, and then helped me through my recovery. I always felt like she was on my team. I am sleeping better, my anger is gone, and my friends say I am much better to be around. I am glad I came.
