When Sarina Rose was going through university, she developed an affinity for photography; so, during one of her summer breaks, she decided to take a job at a photo studio. She ended up working with a couple of women who were shooting boudoir portraits. The timing was such that these two women, who started Pink Blush Boudoir, were about to leave the business. “We had this company running and clients coming in the door and no one to take it over, so I did,” says Sarina. “Before then, photography was a hobby I really enjoyed but never imagined I could make money doing.”
When Pink Blush Boudoir first started, it shared with another studio operating out of a home. “I realized it was a really good atmosphere. The women felt more comfortable coming to a home-based business,” says Sarina. In 2015, Sarina bought a home and set up different rooms with various styles, from flirtatious to ravishing. “Some girls want more dramatic lighting, others will want a bright and colourful feel to their images,” she says. “It’s about being able to offer our clients variety.”
