GREAT FOOD GREAT SERVICE GREAT PRICES
Bryden's is like Cheers, to some degree. Not as nicely decorated - it's OLD - but friendly and the staff are terrific. A lot of groups book the lower room for their weekly meetings and after-event nightcaps. You are well taken care of at Bryden's, and the staff are personable and have a great memory for what you like to drink. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that some of the riffraff have found their way to Bryden's, and sometimes there is trouble. The staff handles it well though.
Not that great food & services but for a good beer it's good , service slow . order not right been there few time. Beer with bodies but not with your family !
Two of us went in for wings and a couple beers,my pal ordered his hot and I ordered mine Breaded and plain with Honey Garlic Sauce on the side, well my waitress told me that is not how they serve the wings !!I thought perhaps she was kidding me............No, she was serious.........after explaining to her other bars have no problem with that order she suggested that I go elsewhere..............I did !
Heard it was a quiet place, but after being seated, one of the male servers was cursing. We waited at our table with no service for at least 15 minutes. Finally, he came, with an unpleasant attitude, and had no intentions of making our first experience at Bryden's an enjoyable one. We will not return or recommend to others.
We have lived close by for about 2 years now, and we find it is the best pub kitchen in town. We used to be devoted DIckens people, but we have been coming here exclusively for a while, for the food especially. All of the staff are always friendly and accomodating. The room is a traditionally styled pub room, with a sports bar feel. That doesn't necessarily attract us, but it has yet to repel us either. The kitchen really tries to break away from the standards, though they are still offered. (I used to practically live on L&O in a past life, and I tried it at Bryden's about 2 months ago - it is very good!) The chef is obviously motivated to keep the menu changing with specials, and this is good! PS: two weeks ago I had the wings (for the first time in forever), YES they are a totally-out-of-control mess to eat, BUT they are extremely tasty, and meaty. Had the Whiskey-Maple sauce, what a great flavour combo. See you next time, B&T
My husband and I live in Milton and have been looking for a good spot for wing night (we haven't been impressed with other places in town). With my in-laws visiting, we decided to try Bryden's as our neighbors had been and mentioned that it was good. Our waitress was great. Very pleasant and came around often but not annoyingly so. Also, when I got up to look for my waitress so I could add to our order, another gentleman quickly came over to help me. The food was excellent - the amount of sauce on the wings is personal taste I think. I enjoyed it but I did catch my father in-law wiping some sauce off with his napkin. The garlic bread was hot and fresh out of the oven. Fries and ceasar salad both good - oh, and they have Keith's Red on tap! Being born and raised in N.S, we loved all the reference to Keith's. Really enjoyed the experience and it's definitely our new spot for wing night (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and pub food in general.
I LOVE! their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, I continue to go back simply because of it. The servers are good, sometimes a little flaky, and will forget things here or there, but generally its average. I've been with both a small and large party, every time I take people there they love the food.
This place was great. I had the romantic table by the window over looking the street. The escargot is great adn the lobster was perfect. Fine selection of wines and rare vintages too. Had my wife here for our anniversary. Will back each year. It's our new favorite hot spot.
Service was okay. Food was great. Bit too much sauce on the chicken wings, but still tasty.
A group of friends took over the area by the fire. Nice and warm and cozy. We were well taken care of, with frequent visits by the staff, but they were not hovering over our shoulders. The Caesar salad was fantastic. Fresh crisp croutons, real bacon, and a wonderful garlicy dressing that was obviously made there, and did not drench the nice crisp romaine lettuce. The wings we had were a Thai type of sauce, and were very good, indeed. I've found that if you like your wings sloppy (and many do) then these are fine wings indeed. I don't, however, so I've learned to ask for them dry, and hot sauce on the side. The Guinness was suitably cold, and it took a couple of minutes to arrive at the table, as a good Guinness should. They also have Hoegaarden on tap, too, which (since it's a belgian Wheat beer) makes a very pleasant change. On the whole, I've found Brydens to be a great place to go and have a conversation. Although they have the occasional evening of live music, and something coming out of the speakers at other times, in the area near the fireplace, it's possible to get away from it. Highly recommended.
FOOD: Absolutely delicious. I frequent the Toronto branch of Bryden's (yep, we have one, but the Milton one is the original), so my expectations for the Milton branch were high - and I was not disappointed. I only had one thing, but that pie was sent straight from heaven... and I'm a rather picky eater. Good selection of beers too. Service: Quite good. Friendly, if a little slow at times. Atmosphere: Nice and relaxed. Would definitely come again
Food was good, waitress was BRILLIANT, room was FREEZING, waitress put heating up, owner turned heating down, waitress put the heating up at our request, owner turned heating down again :( ... eventually he left the heating on. Hard to enjoy your meal when you are wearing your winter coat and contemplating putting your mitts on
I like alcoholic beverages!.... On Jam Night.... Grenke spilt Buck's beer and bought him another pitcher... Bucky was happy!
Awesome bar, probably the best in Milton. Jam Nights are unreal.
Food was good, they had GREAT sweet potato fries, although apparently they have gotten rid of the curry dip that used to accompany them!!
Atmosphere was great, food was excellent, service wa very pleasant and attentive
Best pub in town, great fish and chips, great selection of beer, love the atmosphere, and the short skirts of the waitresses is nice too! :) Staff was friendly, lots of TV's to watch sports games on. Can get really crowded and loud though during peak hours. Again the best pub in Milton, oh and live music some night to boot too!
The meal and atmosphere and Decorations and service were terrific last night. Thank you. My only complaint is in regards to the WASHROOMS. They are not well kept and reflect an atmosphere in the restaraunt of neglect. This is not my first visit to Bryden's and this is not the first time I have felt this way about the washrooms..............and apparently the Men's room is no better. An Eating Establishment can be terrific but can lose customers if the Washrooms are not clean and smell fressh.
I think they tend to a younger crowd wich is fine, the service was a little slow, but now with more competition in town I would love to see how they do! There is great atmosphere but would be nice if they payed more attention to the older crowd 30-40 range instead of 19-24 Thats where the money is I think they respect the property a little more! They will tip the service staff better!
