I've been several times to Speak Easy. Always for breakfast, so I can't comment on other meals. I've always been satisfied, great food at a great price!

I have been to Speak Easy on numerous occasions and have enjoyed it tremendously....this will be my last time.
My friend and I were in for lunch. She ordered a Chicken Caeser Wrap and I ordered Banquet Burger w Caeser Salad. After completing half of our meals, the trouble began. To my surprise an eyelash was found in my friends caeser wrap. No worries I thought, it happens. Then I find a small six legged bug of some sort on my caeser salad. Ok that's enough for me. I approached our server, the middle aged woman, and informed her that I had found a bug in my salad. I didn't mention the eyelash because at this point it wasnt needed. She then returned to our table 5 minutes later saying that she would comp my food only. She also said and I quote "We wash our lettuce but it happends you know." At this point I feel terrible for the restaurant.
Before she could leave the table I further told her about the eyelash, and her response was i quote, "So now you found something in both meals is that it." She then cleared the table and left. I was shocked and extremely bitter. I then went up to her and let her know that it was not my problem that this occured and I was not going to feel as if it were. I told her that I wasn't going to ever return and I demanded an apology. After receiving none of the sort, we left.
I am extremely dissapointed in the events that occured on this day. To be made to feel as if "tough luck" for me is absolutely terrible. I only write this review because I am frustrated with the lack of sympathy that we received. No gift coupons for a return, no free meal offers for this visit, nothing. I will never return there again.
