Our Optometrists
Monica Jensen
Dr. Monica Jensen has practiced optometry in Calgary since graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1992. Her specialty training included pediatric eye care, binocular vision, contact lens management, geriatric eye care, and low vision. In 1998 she and her husband started Site for Sight where they have had the honor of providing eye care to the Northern Hills Community. Since then, they opened their second location in Gates of Panorama in 2011. Dr. Jensen is a proud member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Calgary Society of Optometrists, and volunteers to help the Alberta association with government relations. Monica is passionate about providing comprehensive eye examinations with a focus on patient education. To her, the most rewarding part of her job is getting to know her patients and their families and watching them grow.

Deepon Kar
Dr. Deepon Kar pursued her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After graduating in 2019, Dr. Kar moved back to Calgary and began practicing full-scope optometry with a special interest in managing ocular disease and dry eye disease in patients. When she is not looking after her patient’s visual health, you can find her co-hosting the popular optometry podcast, Four Eyes. She is thrilled to be part of the FYidoctors-Harvest Hills team and cannot wait to help with your eye care needs.
