My husband and I were recently at the Mill Cafe for lunch with a few friends from out of town. We have been local to the area, but had not been in since the restaurant was renovated. The decor was delightful and vibrant, with unique artwork covering the walls. We were pleasantly greeted by our server who encouraged us to sit wherever we pleased. The menu was fun and fresh and we found it extremely difficult to have to choose from all the delicious items. Our lunch arrived very quickly, and we were more and more pleased with every bite. IT WAS EXTRAORDINARY! We felt very welcomed by both serving and kitchen staff (as this is an open concept restaurant) and we will gladly be back again! ... and again! Lire plus

Local pub with small-town feel but a huge atmosphere. Well priced, diverse soul food menu, friendly staff, cottage-rustic vibe and a nice selection of beer. We went on Wednesday Wing night and it was packed by 5:30 with a short line-up to get in. They had a table for us right away in a nice location. One of us wanted wings and asked if there were any dry-rubbed flavours, as there didn't appear to be any on the menu. To our delight they had a dry Cajun flavour that was excellent. Wings themselves were large and meaty and the vegetables that came with them were just enough and freshly cut. All of which was served with a generous stack of napkins and wet-wipes. The other ordered the aptly named "Long-Weekend Burger" complete with cheddar & Swiss, sautéed mushrooms & caramelized onions and opted for sweet-potato fries as a side for an additional cost. (I don't know about you, but whenever there's a "long-weekend" in my circle there's always bacon involved ~ but they had another burger with some on it) The burger itself was huge, juicy, and did not have a lot of added flavouring allowing the true taste of the beef to come through. This allowed the flavour to be somewhat customized with the good selection of condiments delivered to the table. Freshly cut tomatoes & red onion topped it under a nice Kaiser roll. Sweet potato fries were plentiful, crisp, long and lightly dusted with sea salt to be complimented by white or malt vinegar and/or their own house dip. Beers were served in a frosted glass, which compelled us to have more than one ~ otherwise this would be in the $11-25 range! Bathrooms were clean and adequate. House was well-kept. The only gripe we had was the dim lighting which made it hard to read the Trivial Pursuit cards at each table (which were a very nice touch, even though they were obviously an older US edition!) It's rare to have a great dining experience in such a packed house. Overall this was a great meal and it will likely become a default destination if we can't decide where else to try. Lire plus

Incredible service 100%. The sticky toffee pudding is TO DIE FOR. Their mussles are so good that my 10yo orders them every time we were there. Yeah, that’s right, a 10yo. The same kid who won’t even look at a pizza if it has touched pizza sauce. During COVID, the service standard has been consistently amazing. Even with all the obstacles the food is so delicious, and now THEY DELIVER, which is so much better than pizza every night. Best place to call if you’re looking for exceptional service Lire plus

Went in on a Monday afternoon had their special 'Panko Fried Bass w/ fries, gravy & Coleslaw' SO good! I prefer to come here in the afternoon when it is a bit more quiet or get take out in the evening as this place start hoppin in the evenings. I had driven by this downtown georgetown pub many times without even noticing it was there, so when a friend suggested we go in for a few beers, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of this place before! The beer list was mostly new to my eyes. They offer a huge selection of local microbreweries, which are surprisingly delicious! We ordered the fish and chips as we sipped on beer that had been brewed no more than 40 km from where we were sitting. The food took a bit of time, but this is definitely no fast food restaurant.... The fish, which we were told was freshly beer battered in the kitchen, was the best we'd ever tried. This would not be my last visit. After coming in for the past year, I've noticed that this pub is at times understaffed, service can be delayed due to volume, but this is also a place to come and take your time. Don't come in expecting to have a quick meal in time to make a movie...This pub was created for people to come in and forget about the hustle bustle of their day to day lives! Lire plus

Looking for the best wings in Port?? They're at the Wiz! Wed is wing night so you can get 2lbs of wings for $8 a STEAL compared to other wing nights in town. Big, juicy & FLAVOURFUL!! Honey garlic is incredible, the best I have ever EVER had. Medium is quite hot so be prepared if you can't stand the heat, maybe go with mild. Usually we get a salad or drinks to start while we wait (as the service isn't the best). Although now they are giving you salsa & chips when you sit down which is great! I enjoyed working at this location for several hours. No one harrassed me about using the table for so long and the food was tasty and healthy so I didn't feel like I'd overindulged. That is, until a young Williams representative approached me and gave me a free Belgian Waffle slathered in ice cream. We stopped in on Friday night to grab a coffee and decided to have a piece of cake. Although the cakes are not made there they are absolutely to die for. I got the white hot chocolate which was amazing, although you did have to stir it fairly often to keep the hot chocolate mix from settling out of it. The service by the wait staff is excellent. The manager and the owner are both excellent people who are the right fit for this establishment. This is a neighbourhood 'pub' where the patrons and the staff are accomodating, friendly and there is a family feel to the pub. My spouse and I are regulars there now and have enjoyed many meals prepared by their cooks. The meals range from appetizers to their many entrees: toasted western sandwich to the sirloin steak done to perfection. Whatever they prepare is done very well. Only once have I had a complaint but there was a new cook on staff. Things are great now. Try this pub out for a meal and a couple of drinks, you will not be disappointed. Have a game of pool or darts while listening to your favourite music on the techically advanced "juke box". It's not the same anymore. "Come on in to a place where everybody knows your name." Cheers! The food always seems to be good in my experience here. I typically order pulled pork poutine (very good, unique), burgers, wraps, etc. I've never been disappointed during my somewhat extended history of visiting the pub. The decor is very busy, typical of brit pubs here, and the service is friendly and timely, not overbearing. Food waiting times are suitable and I've never heard anyone in my party of regulars complain of flat beer, dirty glasses, or hair in their food, as other reviews here indicate. They do have a patio, albeit small and fills up fairly quickly during lunch hour or immediately after work. Lire plus
