The Vancouver Aquarium's location can't be beat and neither can the experience they offer. We have been members for the last 4 years and despite dozens of trips we always see something new on every single trip. With a variety of themed areas and literally thousands of sea creatures to see, the Vancouver Aquarium is a great way to while away an afternoon. Make sure you check out the Dolphin show and the shark tank is a great place to watch the sharks and wonder why they don't eat the fish in the tank with them. I also highly recommend the membership option since two visits pays for the membership and then every other visit in that year is basically free. We've been known to go to the aquarium for an hour just because we needed to kill a bit of time...and what a great way to do so! Also of special note are the birthday parties they offer for kids. A great deal, especially for members, and the best part is getting to go behind the scenes with your knowledgeable tour guide. This hotel has a wonderful location and due to the shape many of the rooms have commanding views of Coal Harbour, the North Shore Mountains and the Vancouver skyline along the water. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed and they are so quiet too. We have stayed here on more than one occasion even though we live in the city! The rates can be a little steep at times but keep your eyes peeled for specials on the Internet. Either way, you'll be glad you stayed at the Pan Pacific! Lire plus

I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The pasta at Old Spaghetti Factory is good to eat and you get decent value for the money. A great restaurant with a really cosy, warm atmosphere. Were there during our honeymoon and the staff was really pleasant. The food was very good, if a bit pricey. Tried one of the BC wines and was surprised by how good it was. Service could have been more attentive but was sincere and friendly when we got it. I try and hit up Rodney's whenever I am in Van. Located on trendy Hamilton St. it's got some serious character. Sit at the bar for a great view of the oyster shucking and some lively chat with the bartenders. Staff is friendly with plenty of personality. They have an oyster happy hour 4-6pm (if I remember correctly) where it's half price oysters. And seeing as many of the oysters and ingredients come right out of the ocean around BC the food is beyond fresh. And in case you were wondering, this place has the best selection of oysters I have seen yet. 11 different kinds on the last visit. My favorites being Fanny Bay and Kushi. How much do I like this restaurant? My wife and I had our post-wedding celebration here with about 20 of our closest friends and family. We knew this would be a great choise as we wanted a restaurant that wasn't overly expensive, had a great staff and of course a great menu. And Zefferelli's has all of the above. Besides the complimentary bread and tomato dipping sauce, my favorite aspect of this restaurant is the food preparation. A lot of italian restaurants simply boil the pasta and then add the sauce. Zefferelli's actually uses a wok to fry the pasta after it has been boiled to give it a better texture and taste. It doesn't sound like much but it really helps. And for a restaurant that is as well kept and in such a prime location (Robson Street) it is extremely affordable. It's a great place to take a date or to take your picky out-of-town guests. We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right.
