I am a martial arts consultant and over the course of a year I get a chance to visit a lot of martial arts school and I never miss an opportunity to take a class. When I stepped into Lewis Karate School I expected to be doing traditional karate. Well, besides being made to feel very welcome I was given a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi and directed on to the mat area. Everyone I worked with was vary respectful of their partners and the instructors were quite good. The facility was impeccability clean and very well equipped. They might not be the cheapest school but compared to the other schools I visited in Barrie this one stood out as the best. Now days you get what you pay for and the instruction here is well worth the money. I would highly recommend this school to anyone living in Barrie.

After over 5 years, the RHB has become my second home (although I often find myself there more than my actual place of residence). The chief instructor, Sensei Doug Knispel Jr, is by far the most knowledgeable person I know in martial arts. He shows a genuine passion for teaching in every class and cares for every student if they were his own children. The fees are by far the cheapest I've encountered - which clearly shows that all of the teachers volunteer their time to create a positive family
