Cynthia Booth loves art and nature, and has found a beautiful way to combine both in her business Glass Earth Inc. Located in downtown St. Albert, her store is bright, airy and green with a variety of plants in multiple arrangements. “We do high end plant designs and we strive to do really unusual designs with the plants,” says Cynthia. “We’re not just [selling] terrariums; we’re [selling] bonsais, kokedamas, moss art and fairy gardens.”

Cynthia's eye for colour, texture and form illustrates her strengths, to the benefit of her customers. “I’ve been an artist forever. I’ve painted forever,” she says. “It’s like I have a split personality. Part of me has always followed the art: I’ve taught, I’ve painted, I’ve sold. And, the other half of me is a horticulturist and I’m passionate about plants and always worked in a greenhouse. So, I brought the two together and now I only have one personality.”
