Walking by, my roommate and I decided to go in for lunch, as we've heard some people give rave reviews about it. At first we looked over the menu, and decided it was a bit fancier than we had initially anticipated, although priced very fairly. The food was pretty good, and I'm sure their dinner would be amazing. The only thing I didn't really like, is they put all 3 party's at tables beside each other, instead of spreading them out. The open kitchen was pretty neat. If your looking for something a step up from the usual generic restaurant, I'd suggest you try here, but it wont be for everyone.
We decided to have dinner out at 6:30 on a Saturday night. There were surprisingly few customers there. The atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. There is a great open kitchen. Beware of being seated near the door...there is quite a draft when people come and go. The service from Christian, the owner was excellent. He was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We started with the vegetarian spring rolls. They were very fresh, good serving size, nice dipping sauce, but overall lacked flavour for our taste. For our entrees, I had the pork tenderloin in pastry with apples. The pork serving size was excellent and the sauce was tasty. However, there wasn't enough sauce for my liking and the pork itself was a bit bland with very few apples. I would've liked more vegetables on my plate too...3 green beans, a baby carrot and one brussell sprout wasn't enough. The forbidden rice is very different and is an acquired taste. My spouse's sesame seed crusted pan seared tuna was served rare which is the way that fresh tuna should be served. He enjoyed it very much but found that the forbidden rice was not a favorite. For dessert, I had the creme brulee which was perfectly delicious. My spouse had the mixed berry crepes. He enjoyed it but found it too tart for his liking...although others may disagree! With a bit of fine tuning Groovy Tuesday's could be a 5 star restaurant!
What a wonderful fine dining restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the people were wonderful, and the food is amazing. Both of our meals were delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely be back!
This is a lovely, romantic restaurant. The service is excellent (thanks again to the lovely lady who made everything right for us!) and the food is magnificent. My husband and I make this a destination when we go anywhere up north. On par with the finer places in the world, and certainly my favourite!
What a great Restuarant...the food wonderful.the staff fun ....loved every minute..did not want to leave
