Since moving to Elora my family and I have found The Gorge to be our favorite breakfast spot. The food is typical of a country breakfast spot with larger portions and cooked to order. The menu has a little bit of something for every taste. Try the Hungry Man if you plan on skipping lunch and get their early, as there is always a good size crowd after 9am on the weekends.
Great Food! We have been there a few times for Breakfast as well as Lunch and have never been disappointed. Whatever you seem to order they give you lots of and the services is good as well. I guess the only thing I could say that needs improvement is I find the chairs to be a little uncomfortable but nothing that would keep me away.
Been here a couple of times. Breakfasts are very good and so are dinner items. It's a family diner with a wide menu choice. Food seems fairly freshly prepared and consistent standard.
Particularly liked the corned beef breakfast. Pleasant enough atmosphere to the place with reasonably good service.

I have eaten at many restaurants and am selective at were I go. The overall appearance was good. The server did well, however when the meal was served, it was the worst most poorly prepared food I have ever had. The meat was completely raw. Although the restaurant replaced my meal, my appetite was ruined based on being served raw food and I was unable to proceed with the meal. At the end the management had no trouble still charging me for the food that I was unable to enjoy due to their incompetence. This is no way to treat a customer. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will personally never go back. Worst restaurant experience ever.
Went for dinner during a winter storm in the middle of the week and it was still packed. Got seated quickly and the waitress came by shortly after that to get our drink orders. Found it very difficult to select a meal from the number of items on the menu. Definitely made the right choice with the pasta though, I left very full and satisfied. The only negative about this restaurant would have to be the waitress who served us. She got very snotty with me because it took me awhile to decide on what I would like. She even proceeded to sit on the window ledge and wait until I had ordered. I really noticed her attitude towards me because she was super nice to my fiance and other customers. We will definitely be returning. We just hope for our next visit that we do not have the same waitress.
