The Woolwich Arms Pub suffers from small town...
The Woolwich Arms Pub suffers from small town attitude. They want the pub to be hip and cool but they don't think of what the patrons may actually want. I ordered their lamb sausages and was thinking a pint of IPA and a a little mint and lamb would be an excellent combination. When I asked for some mint sauce I was informed that "We don't do mint jelly here" in a rude and annoying way. Grow up and go down to Zehrs and buy a little mint sauce. It keeps in the fridge for a year. Or better yet buy some fresh mint and make your own. I couldn't bring myself to eat the sausages they served me and they didn't seem to care. They took them back and made me feel like I was some kind of heathen and didn't offer me anything else. They took my money and I left unsatisfied and hungry. Mint has been served with lamb for a thousand years. Here I thought I had found a nice little pub to go to on my frequent visits to Guelph. My search is still on. Who ever thought that anyone would ever ask for mint to go with their lamb in an English style pub.
