We were passing by on our bicycles on a blistering 33 degree afternoon. I had run out of liquids and was in need of water in the extreme heat. I asked nicely if they would pour a little water from the jug they had into my water bottle. They asked if I was eating and I said I wasn't. She refused to give me water and said if I wasn't eating here, she would sell me water. Really? Nice "Canadian" hospitality. Guess money is more mportant than helping out someone in need with a little WATER on a blistering day. Thank.
It's a good thing the food and service here is okay. Our server was very good and the food really hit the spot however it is expensive and they really like to pad the bill. Ordered iced tea which was a standard iced tea concentrate in a glass three quarters full of ice. Waitress asked if I wanted another which I accepted however dinged for two glasses on the bill. It is not the $1.95 extra charge as much as the act. Most restaurants charge extra if you are given a bottle of iced tea or pop, but to charge for something made up in a pitcher is uncommon.
Don't get me wrong the atmosphere, food and service is good but the extra charge and alot of flies in the restaurant turned us off a further visit.
This place was bustling on the beautiful sunny day we headed over, and I now know why. Everything about this place was great!
The server was smiley and took great care to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, and sitting outside in the fresh air with the lovely park and lake view was unbeatable.
The french fries are so good, they don't need ketchup!
If you pass by, make sure you take the time to stop here. It's well worth a detour, too, to be truthful.
Wow...fantastic experience! We just happened upon this place on a holiday weekend. A spectacular location on a hilltop lake overlooking another lake. The restaurant was absolutely packed, but the service was very friendly and attentive and the food was top notch. What a great surprise...we will definitely return when we are in the area!
This was our first and likely last visit. Our party all ordered different things and none of it was oustanding. In fact, my meal and my wife's meal were below average and, because the service was slow, the food was lukewarm when we got it. The location is nice, but there are lots of other places in the county that offer better food and quite nice locations.
